our band's been playing Realis most weeks since March, so thanks for this gift of a game!
right now we're thinking through an odd decision - are there Moon sentences when in inter-lunar space, most commonly when being carried by an Orphan Vessel?
our options seem to be, in order of how much GM & PC authorship each encourages, least to most:
there are no Moon sentences when not on a specific moon
there is a single set of Moon sentences applicable in all inter-lunar space
each Orphan Vessel, in addition to having NPC sentences, also has unique moon sentences
leaning 2 but truly curious to hear if/how others have grappled with this call too, and I shall update if/when we come to a decision for our game!
just from reading the book, it's not clear to me how bonds are supposed to be realized; with class and moon sentences it's explicitly by adding a condition/changing the tense, but i can't find anything similar for bonds. i do think that kinds of mechanic benefits from more flexibility in that regard but i think a more explicit description of what that realized sentence look likes or how realization impacts its use and effect on the narrative would be helpful, whether that's as a hard rule or as guidance/play example.
other than that game looks sweet, picked it up in february and haven't stopped thinking about what my group could do with it. it's peak.
Hello, I am GMing this for the first time (after not GMing for a while) so I made this as a learning/visual aid for myself; hopefully all this information is correct and this will be helpful to some people
Given that the full edition is somewhere a-year-ish away, any GM who wants to run this will likely have to make up their own moons, factions, and /or classes.
The Ashcan contains some guidelines on writing Moon Sentences, but not much about writing Factions or homebrewing classes.
If you could give one suggestion for writing Factions, what would it be?
And similarly, what advice would you give for Classes?

Hey Austin, two more questions:
